There seems to be a never ending stream of ways to follow your favorite people! Given that we are visual people and love photos Empirical Style is on Instagram, of course. Occasionally when photographing new stock I’ll take a snap with the iPhone for followers to see first- and often buy before it gets to the website! Or there’s the odd shot of our family life.

Empirical Styles little helper.

At 8.30am every morning our postman arrives. And yes he knows us VERY well! We actually do most of our shopping online these days so we practice what we preach. Between my purchaces and Steve’s product sourcing, our two year old thinks the postman is a constant supplier of goodies.

Look at what arrived this week. A beautiful London Bus Scroll in electric yellow. Available in the shop soon I envy the persons wall that this will adorn.

I’m often taking snaps of new products on Instagram if you’d like to follow us: Empirical Style.

I followed Amanda Dell a few years ago when she did Vintage November- the personal challenge to wear a different vintage dresses everyday for a month. Wow what a wardrobe! So I’m pretty excited by the creativity of Scarf September this month!

Bits & Pieces : Introducing the European Beaver!

Posted on February 2, 2012

We carry nearly the full range of German zoological charts however every now and then we get one that we haven’t seen before. Introducing the European Beaver!

I wasn’t quite sure whether to fall into fits of laughter or sigh at the adorability of this little man! We don’t have beavers in Australia and so I associate these wood chopping critters with the U.S. however this chart if of the European variety. But don’t think that stopped me learning something new today: the American beaver has 40 chromosomes and the European has 48 and thus aren’t genetical compatible- yes I became a fan on the European Beaver Facebook page!!!

He is available to come to your home for only $129 from our shop.
