Vanuatu.

The Melbourne winter is slowly coming to an end. Slowly being the operative word- it’s been a long one!

This winter we headed a few hours flight from Australia to Vanuatu. Travelling with three other families that live in different states we thought the best way to see each other was to have a family friendly holiday together. Eight adults, four kids under four and two in uetero headed to a house right on the beach in the pacific. Thanks to Fil who documented the events so I didn’t even pull out my camera.

Where we went: Sonido

This morning we headed over the river, yes, north side! For Melbournians you tend to stay on your side of the river. Maybe its the traffic, maybe it’s the bridges but generally it’s because you belong to one of the tribes.

Our friend Fi runs The Fitzroy Markets so we used this as a reason to visit some of our favourite places in the area and we came across this wonderful South American cafe Sonido.  Columbian hot chocolate, chorizo & bean breakfast, classic Brazilian records spinning and few vintage South American maps that caught our fancy!
